And most marketing failures happen when we make assumptions, when we're not being authentic or when we over-complicate the narrative.

Our process is inspired by principles of Design Thinking (pdf.) We care less about what you make or do and more about what customers think and feel about it. We listen and ask some tough questions. We challenge what we understand and seek validation. In the end, we are able to unite both sets of values – our clients' and their customers'. Besides creating market success, it builds loyalty around a durable brand. 

 

Listen: It's a process.

The process of listening is more than the ability to hear what people say, validate qualitative data or market research. It’s about having the empathy to connect what both clients and customers mean, their desires and motivations. Listening is crucial to designing images and stories that people will notice, care about, like, and remember, whether it's about defining a company's brand mission or making an online purchasing decision.

Seek: It's science.

Human-centered design considers the role of the emotional unconscious in the customers' decision-making process. The limbic brain is scientifically proven as the part of the brain that gets people to act – like buying, clicking or liking. The reptilian brain is the part that puts two and two together to tell a story about the action – like what a brand stands for.  We consider insights inspired by both to tell the right story that drives action and builds brand loyalty.

Realize: It's magic.

We start with an anything-is-possible mindset, considering both analogue and digital ecosystems. Then we pragmatically prioritize and determine the most effective course to achieve the desired results. Brands are brought to life through the detailed, visual articulation of thoughtful imagery and narratives. When form and function is simple, authentic and speaks to emotional needs ... well ... it's magic.
